Abstract
In the context of globalization and migration processes, the linguistic landscape becomes an important indicator of cultural and social identity. This article is devoted to the study of the linguistic landscape as a way of visualizing cultural and social communities in the urban space. Examples from different regions are analyzed, where the use of languages on signs, pointers, graffiti and other elements of the urban environment demonstrates sociolinguistic dynamics and processes of self-identification of groups. The article's purpose is to consider how the linguistic landscape functions as an identity map that influences the perception of cultural space and interethnic relations.
