Abstract
The ideology of da'wah empowerment has proven effective in strengthening the religious and social attitudes of the community, increasing understanding and awareness of religious teachings, and motivating actions that align with religious values. This study examines the role of ideology in strengthening da'wah discourse in Palopo City, using hermeneutics and critical discourse analysis. The analysis reveals three forms of empowerment ideology: (1) motivation through persuasive language; (2) affirmation and reinforcement through firm language; (3) Obedience and openness by inviting the audience to be open and obedient to religious teachings. This study provides an in-depth understanding of the role of ideology in empowering da'wah discourse while highlighting the importance of understanding how communication techniques and language used by da'is affect audience understanding and response. The results of this research contribute to developing more effective and targeted da'wah strategies in the future.
