Abstract
The eighteenth-century French Enlightenment marked a transformative era, fundamentally reshaping philosophical views on humanity by emphasizing reason, freedom, and human dignity. This paper explores how prominent Enlightenment philosophers, including Montesquieu, Rousseau, and Voltaire, conceptualized human origins, nature, reason, and liberation. Drawing parallels between these historic insights and contemporary Vietnam, the study suggests practical applications of Enlightenment values to modern Vietnamese society. Ultimately, the paper argues that promoting education, democratizing social life, and prioritizing human interests can significantly enhance Vietnam's human capital today.

Key words: French Enlightenment, human liberation, reason, human nature, Vietnam
