The contrastive analysis of the use, meaning and connotations of the colors in the Slovak and Spanish language

Abstract
This paper discusses are the lexical units (words, expressions, set phrases, collocations, fixed expressions, proverbs) with the color component in their structure. Its objective is the semantic analysis of these units as well as the contrastive-comparative analysis of the terms and their connotations, of the semantic expansion and of the use of these units in Spanish and Slovak society . The differences in the meaning and use of these constructions derive from cultural differences between the two countries.
