Cognitive procedures as an instrument of translation process analysis

Abstract
The article dwells upon the problems of implementation of new research paradigm in translation studies. The interdisciplinary approach related to both translation process and cognitive procedures, is represented in the given paper thereby emphasizing the need of experimental study on the basis of cognitive theories. The experiment conducted by the authors was based on the recipients’ (consultants’) reactions while rendering texts related to different genres.
